We seem to have known Jo & Simon forever, having met them way back in March although their wedding isn’t until the middle of next year.
Anyway, they asked for an autumn pre-shoot. After all, you get glorious sunshine, mild weather and golden leaves on the trees.
That would have been true apart from the ability of the weather in the Cotswolds to throw you a curve ball. A really curved ball.
The forecast as I left for the shoot was cloud with occasional sunshine. Perfect.
The reality on the top of the Cotswold escarpment was lashing and driving rain.
Still, having used every available shelter we could find, we managed a few good shots where, you’d almost beleive, it wasnt hammering it down.
Jo was fearful this was a sign of things to come. Lets hope not 🙂

Rachael and Nick are planning their wedding for around this time next year.
So it was great to meet them and do a studio shoot for them courtesy of Grand Jour bridal boutique.
Neither had ever having been for a photo-shoot, so we were pleasantly surprised by how relaxed they both were and how quickly we were able to get great shots of them individually and together.

We like Daisy & Nick.
Right from our first chat about their wedding day plans it was obvious they were going to be a fun couple to photograph.
And they took an idea we suggested about their pre-shoot being in the style of the 1950’s, shot at the Dean Forest Railway near Lydney in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, and ran with it.
Shoots can be awesome when the couple want to be photographed, can imagine what the shoot will create and dress for the occasion. And Daisy and Nick were definitely excited by the prospect of a black & white shoot at an old railway station in the Forest of Dean.
Prising them apart proved a little challenging, but we thoroughly enjoyed the bright and warm sunny afternoon. And the helpful staff, engineers and conductor at the station were simply brilliant.
Thank you to everyone who made it such a memorable day!

Miriam and Vijay celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary with their family & friends, and asked us to capture portrait shots of everyone who came. What a lovely idea. The full gallery can be seen by clicking HERE. The password is their surname spelled in lowercase.
