Leah & George – Wedding Day

Leah and Georges Wedding Day was suddenly here. Being February, what was the worst that could happen? – Rain? – Yup

Still, when you come prepared with a flask of piping hot tea, then nothing is really a problem.

Jo & Simon – Tetbury Wedding Gloucestershire

Vintage Wedding Marquee Photography Miranda Stuart

We met Jo and Simon way back. They live in a tiny village with only a church and not even a pub. So tiny that they seemed to know everyone on first-name terms.

This meant they were bound to have a very personal style of wedding.  And we were not wrong.

Jo had arranged a beautiful, vintage marquee, for the reception in the grounds of the local manor house following a service in the pretty and equally tiny church.  With an unbelievably tiny vestry for the signing of the register.

So it was with some disappointment that everyone awoke to a frightful weather forecast.  A forecast which proved all too accurate as the ceremony time drew near. It was simply cats and dogs.

And Jo’s transport to the church was the, only slightly-enclosed, wagon pulled by a vintage (naturally) tractor. Which she and her father gallantly tried to hide in as the trailer was drawn towards the church at a leisurely pace in the rain.

It hammered it down during the ceremony.

But amazingly, and right on cue, a brilliant flash of blue sky appeared as they signed the register.

By the time the formalities were over, B&G had boarded, motored, and decanted again from the tractor & trailer, the sun was shining gloriously as the fluffy summer clouds smiled down of everybody.

So, to start the photographic ball rolling, what do you think was going on with¬†this little chap?…

Wedding – Becky & Neil at Rococo Gardens

BNH-017Rococo Gardens is a beautiful location for a wedding, with guests able to enjoy the setting and grounds and quirky architecture.

I’d met up with Becky a few days before their wedding in the grounds and we walked through the locations she wanted to use for some of their personal and the formal Group shots.

By Saturday, Rococo had even had a flurry of snow first thing and the weather was a chilly 6 celsius. Cue the frozen guests.

Thankfully, Rococo has a rather nice line in afternoon teas, so whilst the guests all headed to the conservatory for a warm up, we did a quick shoot in the Red House. It was so cold you could see your breath. And when we walked into the reception, the cameras promptly steamed up too!

Following the Afternoon Tea, Becky and Neil had arranged an evening at Bowden Hall, just a 10 minute drive away.

Juliette & Kieran – Tolpuddle, Dorset wedding photography

Dorset WeddingOctober has been quite a mixed bag weather-wise, so Juliette & Kieran were very fortunate to have so much sunshine for their wedding day.

The ceremony was held in the village church in Tolpuddle, not far from where Juliette grew up. The bride travelled there in an immaculately restored 1932 MG.¬† What a car!¬† Have I ever mentioned that I love photographing classic cars? ūüôā That’s another one to tick off my list…

Following the ceremony and after a number of family shots, we did the first of two couple-shoots for Juliette & Kieran before leaving for the wedding breakfast.

The reception was a 45-minute drive away, being held at The Eastbury Hotel in Sherbourne.

Guests had travelled from right across the UK and even from Canada.  Following the speeches, they were all treated to a short, live action video all about Kieran Рwhat can we say?

Oh, and what very nice food!
