We love your photography – but why are you so expensive?
We can show you other photographers who are far more expensive than us. Equally, there are some really ‘cheap-and-cheerful’ snappers around too.
You’ve really answered the question yourself though – your impression of our photography is that we take the time to make sure you get ‘absolutely gorgeous photography’. To do that, we have invested in the right equipment and in extensive training and refresher courses, along with a sprinkling of Miranda & Stuart magic.
And don’t forget – whilst you may have spent £1,000’s on your venue, dress, cake and food – the only tangible memories of your big day will be your photographs.
So, make sure they are of the quality you want.
We Love your Photography – how come you are so reasonable?
Because we simply love taking photographs. 🙂
We’ve been offered far cheaper Album inclusive packages. What’s the difference?
Cheap albums are just that.
Basically, you’re probably being offered the kind of album which gets printed by an online retailer or something similar.
These are generally what’s called ‘press-printed’ – and you’ll probably get better quality prints from your home inkjet printer!
How are your Albums better?
We offer two ranges of albums;
1 – The storybook.
These are albums printed on photographic paper, which is hand assembled into a book and has a ‘seamless’ appearance.
These storybooks’ allow for a range of cover and page material options.
2 – The Matted Album.
These are the more traditional album, often about twice as thick as a storybook album containing the same number of images.
All images are mounted under a thick card mat, and these Albums too are hand built by craftsmen. The range of cover options include genuine leather with stitching, or real wood, along with all the other cover options available on the storybook type.
Depending on the album, some of these are supplied by Jorgensen in Australia and travel half-way around the globe to get to you.
How many hours do you stay on the wedding day?
We’re more than happy to stay from bridal preparations right through to fireworks at midnight if you want.
It depends on the package, but the choice is always yours.
Can we have our photos on a disc instead?
Ask yourself about all the photographs you’ve taken over the years. Where are they?
If they’re digital, they’ll be on a pc somewhere and you won’t have looked at them in a long while, even if you know where they are!
Is that what you want to happen to your wedding photos?
Do we have to have an ‘engagement’ or ‘pre-wedding’ shoot?
Yes. Here’s why;
What are your thoughts when someone says ‘smile for the camera’?
‘Arghhhh!’ – Yep, that’s what we thought you’d say.
So we do a shoot with you so that we can see, in a practice run as it were, how you’ll react to us on the big day.
And once you see the photos from this shoot, you’ll be delighted you had the shoot after all. And you’ll rave about the pictures to your family. And your family will rave about them too.
Pretty soon, everyone you know will be raving. In the best possible way of course.
How long after our wedding before we can see the photos?
Hopefully you’ve got an amazing honeymoon booked and you’re jetting of to some exotic destination.
Phew! That gives us a bit of time to post-process the huge number of photos we took on the day, ready for you to visit us and see them all, typically about 3 weeks after the wedding.
But just as a teaser, there will be a few ‘sneak-peek’ images on the website for you within a few days, if you want.
Can we have really, really big, framed prints?
We can chat about that before or after the wedding.
Not just framed prints, but canvases, acrylic blocks, and lots of other products are available.
Can our parents have albums too?
But unlike other photographers who want to sell you duplicates of your own album, we realise that parents want their own personalised album, with different photos. And we have some great ideas for these.
Can we have bespoke guest cards, invitations or even Thank You cards
Yes you can.
Please speak to us about these before your engagement shoot.
We’ve got even more questions. What should we do?
…have you been planning your wedding since you were 6 years old?…
Call us and arrange to meet us (and bring the list of questions with you).
