Engagement Shoot – Charlotte & Richard

Bristol Wedding PhotographerRichard proposed to Charlotte in Clevedon, just a little north of Weston-super-Mare.

This seaside town is largely unspoiled by the noisy bright lights of other popular seaside locations. So Charlotte asked if they could have a pre-wedding shoot on the pier. Charlotte has a plaque on the pier with her name on it. We spent quite a long time not finding it. But it is there she tells us. Honest!

Anyway – a pier shoot. Yes please.

Victorian architecture is so very appealing. It’s a bit quirky. Looks like it should last forever. And because it speaks of an age where anything seemed possible, it is simply reassuring.

Add to that a great couple and a wonderful mellow, sunny autumn day and you can’t go wrong.

Here come a few images from the afternoon.

Wedding – Bex & Nick – Wedding Photographer Devon

wedding photographer Devon, Woolacombe, Croyde, VW, classic VWDevon Wedding Photography in Woolacombe and Croyde

Bex and Nick had chosen the last weekend in March (the one where the clocks change) for their wedding in Woolacombe, north Devon.

When we first met them last summer, Bex had said how she really wanted a beach shoot.

Okay? we said, wondering what sort of weather-proofing we would need on the camera should a force nine be coming up the Bristol Channel.

Anyway, the day arrived with the forecast for stunningly lovely weather, warm and completely blue, cloudless skies.

Wow!

And then Bex’ wedding transport turned up. Wow again! It was the most astonishly amazing classic VW. I had to try very hard to remember that I was photographing a wedding, not a shoot for a classic car magazine…

They were married at St Sabinius church in Woolacombe and their reception was at the Manor country pub in Croyde. This was probably the most relaxed and laid-back wedding we have ever been to, helped very much by the wonderful barbeque wedding breakfast. And very kindly, Bex and Nick had insisted that we too, ate along with their guests. (I love being fed)

So, here are a few images from the day.

If you were a guest then you can see the whole set by visiting the Wedding Galleries and using the details from the picture-card you received at the wedding (or ask Bex and Nick).

Wedding Photographer Devon – Aimee & Trevor – Berry Head Hotel

Wedding Photographer Devon

Aimee and Trevor almost froze solid during their chilly engagement shoot in Gloucester earlier this year. So it came as no surprise when her mum told me she’d been hunting all over for shawls and wraps and scarves just incase the wedding day was freezing too.

But she need not have worried – it was an absolutely baking hot weekend in Devon. And their wedding location, the Berry Head Hotel, set on low cliffs and with a lovely walled garden and an astounding view of the sunset, was simply idyllic.

All wedding days are just a little unpredictable. Who’d have thought that just knotting a cravat could turn out to be so much fun. See if you can work out how many people tried to sort out Trevors’ …

If you were a guest at the wedding, then the postcard given to you at the reception has the login details to view the wedding set.  Click Here to visit the Guest Gallery.

Here come the taster photographs … and if you have a favourite, please feel free to comment using the link at the bottom of the page .

Trevors Cravat Knotting Competition Results:

If you counted 5 people including Trevor trying to knot the cravat, you’re at least 1 short – even I had a go at one point 🙂
