Leah & George – Wedding Day

Leah and Georges Wedding Day was suddenly here. Being February, what was the worst that could happen? – Rain? – Yup

Still, when you come prepared with a flask of piping hot tea, then nothing is really a problem.

Mikie & Jordan – Wedding Pre-shoot

Cirencester Wedding PhotographyA beautiful sunny day and two people deeply in love. What better way to spend the afternoon than walking around the Cotswold town of Cirencester and its Park?

Oh, and to take a set of lovely photographs!

Mikie and Jordan are marrying in Herefordshire soon, so we were really pleased when they asked us for a pre-wedding shoot. Followed by a fabulous meal cooked by Jordan.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them.

A full set can be seen HERE (you’ll need a password, but if you know the couple, that shouldn’t be a problem 🙂 )

Jo & Simon – Tetbury Wedding Gloucestershire

Vintage Wedding Marquee Photography Miranda Stuart

We met Jo and Simon way back. They live in a tiny village with only a church and not even a pub. So tiny that they seemed to know everyone on first-name terms.

This meant they were bound to have a very personal style of wedding.  And we were not wrong.

Jo had arranged a beautiful, vintage marquee, for the reception in the grounds of the local manor house following a service in the pretty and equally tiny church.  With an unbelievably tiny vestry for the signing of the register.

So it was with some disappointment that everyone awoke to a frightful weather forecast.  A forecast which proved all too accurate as the ceremony time drew near. It was simply cats and dogs.

And Jo’s transport to the church was the, only slightly-enclosed, wagon pulled by a vintage (naturally) tractor. Which she and her father gallantly tried to hide in as the trailer was drawn towards the church at a leisurely pace in the rain.

It hammered it down during the ceremony.

But amazingly, and right on cue, a brilliant flash of blue sky appeared as they signed the register.

By the time the formalities were over, B&G had boarded, motored, and decanted again from the tractor & trailer, the sun was shining gloriously as the fluffy summer clouds smiled down of everybody.

So, to start the photographic ball rolling, what do you think was going on with this little chap?…

Hepzi & Jonathan – Wyck Hill House Hotel, Gloucestershire

wyck hill weddingHepzi & Jonathans wedding was the last we had booked in 2012.

Arranged for December 27th, they had chosen a beautiful country setting – the Wyck Hill House Hotel – not far from Bourton on the Water in Gloucestershire.

Theirs was a late afternoon ceremony, just 30 minutes before sunset on an (almost) dry and bright winters day.

Hepzi wore a vintage style dress and was accompanied by their daughter and another little bridesmaid.

The Wyck Hill House Hotel has a lovely room for wedding ceremonies, with a floor-to-ceiling glass bay window with doors leading to the gardens. The room faces south, so enjoyed plenty of light as the clouds began clearing in the late afternoon.

With about 60 guests, Jonathan had asked for an ‘everybody’ group shot on the staircase of the hotel, just in case the weather turned, but thankfully we were also able to shoot briefly outside just after the ceremony too. Although it was perishingly cold… And one of the bridesmaids seemed to have a bit of shoe trouble too.

Below are a few images from the day, although if you were a guest at the wedding, a larger set of photographs can be seen HERE  (Password required)
