Mikie & Jordan – Wedding Pre-shoot

Cirencester Wedding PhotographyA beautiful sunny day and two people deeply in love. What better way to spend the afternoon than walking around the Cotswold town of Cirencester and its Park?

Oh, and to take a set of lovely photographs!

Mikie and Jordan are marrying in Herefordshire soon, so we were really pleased when they asked us for a pre-wedding shoot. Followed by a fabulous meal cooked by Jordan.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them.

A full set can be seen HERE (you’ll need a password, but if you know the couple, that shouldn’t be a problem 🙂 )

Jo & Simon – Tetbury Wedding Gloucestershire

Vintage Wedding Marquee Photography Miranda Stuart

We met Jo and Simon way back. They live in a tiny village with only a church and not even a pub. So tiny that they seemed to know everyone on first-name terms.

This meant they were bound to have a very personal style of wedding.  And we were not wrong.

Jo had arranged a beautiful, vintage marquee, for the reception in the grounds of the local manor house following a service in the pretty and equally tiny church.  With an unbelievably tiny vestry for the signing of the register.

So it was with some disappointment that everyone awoke to a frightful weather forecast.  A forecast which proved all too accurate as the ceremony time drew near. It was simply cats and dogs.

And Jo’s transport to the church was the, only slightly-enclosed, wagon pulled by a vintage (naturally) tractor. Which she and her father gallantly tried to hide in as the trailer was drawn towards the church at a leisurely pace in the rain.

It hammered it down during the ceremony.

But amazingly, and right on cue, a brilliant flash of blue sky appeared as they signed the register.

By the time the formalities were over, B&G had boarded, motored, and decanted again from the tractor & trailer, the sun was shining gloriously as the fluffy summer clouds smiled down of everybody.

So, to start the photographic ball rolling, what do you think was going on with this little chap?…

Ellie & Jason Pre-shoot, Stroud, Gloucestershire

Wedding Pre-shoot GloucestershireIts not often you get to shoot in a rarely seen location so we were really pleased when Ellie and Jason asked for their pre-shoot in an old mill.

The Stroud valleys used to boast upward of 150 active mills in its heyday, but nowadays there are virtually only a handful left by comparison. Many are now re-purposed, but this one hasn’t yet…

But the space and architecture was superb and we hope you like the photos.

The full set can be seen HERE, but you’ll need the password, which is obvious if you know the couple.

Danni & Sam – Egypt Mill Wedding

Egypt Mill WeddingIts been a while since we last shot at Egypt Mill – it goes like that in the wedding business – you shoot a location quite frequently then it goes a bit quiet there and you find another venue gets busy.

Anyway, it was a beautiful warm March day when we met up for a pre-wedding chat and walk around at Egypt Mill.

By the day of the wedding the weather had cooled just slightly, but the intervening weeks had allowed a fair few of the flower borders to come into bloom. Some trees too had come into blossom and the day remained dry – always a big relief to the bride-and-groom.

The whole event was held in the Mill, with its low oak-beamed ceilings. Thankfully my own home has decidedly low ceilings and doorways, so bobbing my head up and down like a chicken is second nature to me and I avoided a nasty bump to the head 🙂

A few shots in a simple black and white style can be seen below, but for family and friends a password protected set of galleries can be seen HERE.
