Daisy & Nick are one of those really great couples to photograph.
We knew that right from when we first spoke to them about their wedding plans and agreed a pre-shoot at a railway halt in the Forest of Dean (Click Here to see that shoot)
Daisy had obviously thought long and hard about her big day and it seems the theme definitely included lots of daisies – big yellow daisies in her bouquet – right through to a lovely white convertible 1978 VW Beetle decorated with garlands of the flowers and aptly named ‘Daisy’ to boot.
Daisy & Nick were married at the Kingdom Hall in Chepstow, in South Wales, and had allowed themselves plenty of time for the kind of couple-shoot that all-too-easily gets squeezed out of the days proceedings.
Just down the cobbled street is Chepstow Castle and the grounds made for a very nice location shoot, if a little busy with visitors.
Out of the blue, a visiting family from the USA, the father keeping his distance and the mother dressed in shorts and bright yellow wellingtons on a gloriously warm and sunny afternoon (what do they get told about our weather?!), spoke to Daisy. Their little girl was very excited! There was an ancient castle. And now all of a sudden a ‘real-life’ princess was here too. Desperately tugging at her mum, she asked if she could talk to ‘the princess’! Awwwww!
Checking the photos with the princess admirer, Nick looks a little resigned. Sorry Nick, marrying a princess has its drawbacks. Probably a sign of things to come…
